About Isamu Noguchi
Isamu Noguchi (1904–1988) was a Japanese American artist and designer known for his pioneering work that bridged sculpture, design, and landscape architecture. His creations embody a harmony of art and function, exploring the relationship between form, light, and space.
Noguchi’s vision extends across the globe through his sculptural gardens and public spaces, including the California Scenario in Costa Mesa, California—just steps from The Park Club—as well as the UNESCO Garden in Paris, the Billy Rose Art Garden in Jerusalem, and the Noguchi Museum Garden in New York. Each reflects his belief that art should shape the environments we inhabit and connect us more deeply to the world around us.
